Don`t Want To Be A Doctor? Try One Of These Health Sector Jobs
If you want to work with people and feel as though you are doing something worthwhile in your career, the healthcare sector could be the industry for you. Most people, when they consider a profession in healthcare and medicine, immediately think about becoming a doctor but grades, short-term expenses and long periods of training can be off-putting. Fortunately, there are a range of paths you can follow in the healthcare sector, which lead to interesting and rewarding vocations. These range from nursing vacancies to pharmacy technicians. Here are four alternative career options to consider.
Working with both dentists and patients, dental assistants have a vital role in the surgery environment. A dental assistant may have a particularly varied career as this position involves everything from teaching individuals about the best way to care for their teeth to sterilising equipment. You may also be required to help book appointments and ensure patients are comfortable and calm. This role is ideal for an individual that enjoys patient contact so a real people person would be perfect in this position.
2. Laboratory technicians or technologists Working in a clinical laboratory, sometimes located within a hospital but frequently in another setting, technicians and technologists perform tasks ranging from the collection of tissue samples to the testing and analysis of body fluids. This is a relatively well-paid job, which is growing at a standard industry rate, making it a future-proof career option. Plus, this role may not necessarily involve patient contact, unlike the majority of nurse vacancies.
As a dispensing optician it would be your job to fit patients with the correct spectacles and contact lenses. Again, this is a good career option for people who work well with patients as it is a customer-facing role. Although working in the healthcare sector, you may also be required to have office skills for inputting patients details into computer systems and booking appointments etc. However, this is a varied role, opportunities for which are increasing.
This is an ever-growing sector unsurprisingly in a world obsessed by fast food and convenience meals. Nutritionist jobs, both public and private, will require the individual to obtain a bachelors degree before practicing in the field and there are also on-the-job training schemes available to help further your knowledge. In this position, an employee would be expected to advise patients about the foods they put into their bodies as well as their benefits. You would be trained in how eating and avoiding certain foods can have a positive impact on a patient and may put together healthy eating plans to help people achieve their weight goals. This is the perfect position for a person that is positive and results-driven and can motivate patients to achieve the goal of a healthier lifestyle.
If you are looking for a career that helps you to make a difference, look beyond the traditional healthcare sector vacancies such as nursing or becoming a doctor and you will find a vast array of other vocations on offer.

The Best Workouts To Beat Cellulite
Whilst it is true that most people have or have had noticeable cellulite at some time, this does not seem to make it any less horrifying when we notice it on ourselves. There are plenty of products on the market that hope to cash in on this horror, but the sad truth is that many of them dont work very well, if at all, on their own.
Cellulite is nothing more than fat stores that change shape due to poor diet, increasingly sedentary lifestyles and poor circulation, so tackling these issues is the sure-fire way to make a difference.
Poor diet is one of the main contributing factors to increased cellulite, so making some changes in this area can really help to reduce it. This doesnt mean that there is a specific diet that you must go on, but increasing your intake of certain foods whilst decreasing others can help to ensure that your body has everything it needs to eliminate toxins and fat stores.
You will not be surprised to learn that one of the most important dietary changes you can make is to increase your consumption of fruit and vegetables. The vitamins and minerals that you will then take in are vital to an overall healthy body, let alone to cellulite deposits. Where possible, avoid artificial additives and processed foods as the bad stuff can be stored in your fat deposits and you should increase your water intake to help flush this out.
The very best way to shift the cellulite is to build up the layers of muscle underneath the fat. It may not be the answer you want to hear, but getting regular exercise will, eventually, create more muscle, which will in turn help to shift and smooth these deposits. Exercise also helps by increasing blood flow and circulation to the area, so any aerobic or cardiovascular activity can help to reduce existing cellulite.
This does not mean that you need to build gym time into your life. Many exercises can be done in the privacy of your own home with fitness DVDs, energetic chores and equipment such as exercise balls and kettle bells. For some inspiration, websites such as reebokfitness.co.uk and others give an idea of what is available and what will work for you
Lack of good circulation is one of the contributing factors to the lumpy, bumpy appearance of cellulite, so increasing your blood flow to the area can really make a difference. This can be accomplished in a number of ways through regular stimulation.
Brushing the area each day has been proven to make an impact as long as you follow the directions and continue the practice regularly. Equally, massaging oils into the area can help to stimulate the blood flow and improve circulation, having the effect of smoothing out the fatty deposits.
Cellulite is not quite the inevitability that some people think it is and, whilst eradication may be difficult, it certainly is possible to improve the appearance of it by making a few subtle changes to your lifestyle and routine.
