August Bank Holiday in Brussels & Brugge - 3 Day Tour from London by Coach

 

Description

Brugge is one of Europes best preserved medieval cities and is regarded as the home to chocolate. We take the ferry from Dover to France, then travel into Belgium arriving in Brugge in the early afternoon.


Tour Itinerary:

Saturday:
We depart London at 07.00 for our journey down to Dover and ferry to Europe. We head straight into Brugge where you will have an orientation tour of the city and free time to explore. At 5 pm we meet up and transfer to our hostel accommodation. The evening is free for you to wine and dine at a local restaurant.



Sunday:
After breakfast we have a day trip to Brussels. We will take in the sights of Brussels and include a walking tour of the Grand Place. The Grand Place is one of Europes most beautiful squares. Nearby, is the famous Manneken Pis Statue. You will have free time to explore the city on your own and dine in one of the many wonderful restaurants. We will depart Brussels at approx 8 pm to return to Brugge.



Monday:
After breakfast you can return to the city Centre to continue sightseeing and last minute shopping. Departing Brugge early afternoon we travel out to Flanders where some of the bloodiest battles of World War 1 took place, "Relive" the horrors of trench warfare as we visit Tyne Cot - the largest Commonwealth war cemetery, many of them Kiwis, Australians and Canadians as well as British. Next stop is Hill 62, and the Ypres where you can visit the Menen Gate. We start our return trip late afternoon making our way back to Calais and the ferry.
