Description
Day 1 Cotswolds
We leave the Muggles of London behind and begin our magical journey via the Chiltern Hills to uncover some of our literary heroes. We will visit the Roald Dahl Centre and see many of the buildings featured in his books. Here, young and old alike can discover the inspiration behind Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, James and the Giant Peach and The BFG. From there we pass Chequers (the official country home of the Prime Minister). Its then a short hop to Oxford, home to Britains oldest university. Visits include the museum whose shrunken heads were borrowed for the Night Bus; Christ Church, whose dining hall inspired that of Hogwarts and where we see a moving picture and the Divinity Hall, where Professor McGonnagal taught ballroom dancing to Ron Weasley. At Christ Church we will also see many features immortalised by Lewis Carroll in Alice in Wonderland.

Day 2 Forest of Dean
This morning we travel through the delightful Cotswolds region of honey-coloured stone villages, Tolkiens inspiration for The Shire in The Hobbit. We see villages and houses from which a hobbit could emerge at any moment and the famous Rollright Stones. Its then on to a magical stone circle where we hear about the legend of the Witch, King and Fairies who live underground. Then we go on to see Snowy Owls and Eagles for an enchanting flying display. A steam train takes us to the old cathedral city of Gloucester. We visit the cathedral, immortalised by Beatrix Potter in her tale The Tailor of Gloucester. Here you can follow a Harry Potter trail around the cathedral cloisters used in the films as the school corridors and the location of the girls bathroom scene and more. Finally we drive into the Forest of Dean or is it the Forbidden Forest or, perhaps Mirkwood? J.K. Rowling grew up here and so did the wife of JRR Tolkien. We explore this forest and discover great sculptures, deer and perhaps Firenze the Centaur!

Day 3 Wales/Stonehenge
This morning we venture further into the Forest of Dean and emerge at Tutshill, passing J.K. Rowlings house and schools before venturing into Wales to the fabulous castle of Chepstow where you can picture Harry Potter learning Quidditch. Returning to England, we arrive at Lacock. Here, countless films have been made, including The Other Boleyn Girl and Harry Potter. Of special interest are the classrooms of Professors Snape and Quirrell, the Hall of the Mirror of Erised and Fluffys door. Will you dare visit the house where Voldemort murdered Harrys parents? The journey back to London takes us through the worlds largest stone circle, Stonehenge.
